Tall Grass Prairie Press Printmakers Opening Reception

Join us at the opening reception for the Tall Grass Prairie Press Printmakers (TGPPP) at Coutts Museum of Art. This special event is an excellent opportunity to meet the talented artists behind the latest printmaking exhibition, inspired by the storied tradition of the Wichita-based Prairie Printmakers. Founded in 2013 by Doug Billings, a printmaker and instructor at Mark Arts, TGPPP aims to celebrate and promote the diverse art of printmaking. Members have showcased their work across various venues in Wichita and surrounding areas, including Hutchinson, El Dorado, Derby, Newton, and Lindsborg.

The TGPPP group specializes in a wide array of printmaking techniques, from traditional stone, poly plate, and aluminum plate lithographs to innovative lino-cut relief prints, copper and solar plate etchings, collagraph prints, monoprints, and monotypes. Whether you are an art aficionado or a curious newcomer, the reception offers a chance to engage with the artists, enjoy a selection of drinks, and savor light hors d'oeuvres.
